I like the blue ice color with a plain lead head too
I don't use soft plastic much, but my favorite jig for early spring is this one, but sometimes I do have a little differnet shade of blue I use on it.

My all time favorite is the orange headed jig with blue and white marabou without spinner. Some times I tie it on and it stays there until there is no more paint and marabou.

Thanks Randy, that little Roadrunner has taken a lot of crappie every year for me, but I also tie a regular jig in this same color for some guys here on T-Bend every year and they also catch a lot of crappie so I believe it's more my color combo than style of head.
One of these bodies, on one of either of these two jig heads :

I vary it some with the jig heads, use Slider jig heads in orange, black or red, got some lime green ones but don't think I have used them yet and unpainted litewire jigs, either ball head or minner head. Most productive color is usually black/chart, blue/chart, or anything/chart. Sometimes using a painted jig head makes the color combo work, and other times, it does not.
CP whats the name of those bodys, and where can a feller get some? Those look like the ticket
