Getting ready to purchase some hand tied crappie jigs and as everyone knows...they cost a little more. Got my eyes on some of Crappie Logic's jigs...:ThumbsUp I have bass fished for many years and have always used what we called "plug knockers" (link to photo below)...

With the price of crankbaits, these really paid off. We just clipped them on our line and sent them down. When they got to the crankbait, we just pumped the rod a few times, the weight slapped the crankbait, and bingo...the crankbait came loose most of the time. At $5 to $15 bucks a pop for crankbaits, these cheaply made rigs saved us alot of money.
Anyway, hand tied crappie jigs are not that expensive, but more than your average jig head & body combination. It is raining this evening and I am stuck inside and got to doing a little brainstorming. Do you think a form of this may work for crappie jigs? I'm going to Bass Pro Shops this weekend and look around to see what I can come up with...any ideas?
