What kind of rig do you guys use for a night stalk? Do you put a weight at the end of your line and tie a hook or two a foot or so from the weight? Or do you use something else?

What kind of rig do you guys use for a night stalk? Do you put a weight at the end of your line and tie a hook or two a foot or so from the weight? Or do you use something else?
I have a couple of rods rigged with the "crappie rigs" you can buy at Wally World. They have two hooks and you put a weight at the bottom. Other poles have a single hook at the end with split shot or in-line weight. Some nights the fish like one better than the other.
