Went fishing Friday and had a pretty good day. We brought home 50 Crappie. They was 10-15 inches. Tried several of my best spots and no fish. The wind was blowing a little out of the South so decided To try the side of the Dam that the wind was blowing against. It was a good idea, the fish were stacked up in there like I couldn't believe. I tried to use 2 rods but had to just use 1 pole. I got one rod broken from the fish fighting so hard. This was the best fishing day I have had in a long time. The fish in the bucket on the left were 10-11 inches and the bucket on the right held 12-15 inch fish. Everyone needs to have a day of fishing like we had on Friday. I anchored in 14 ft of water and the wind swung the boat around so was in 17-18 ft of water. The smaller fish was in the 14 ft and the bigger fish were in thre 17-18 ft of water. The males were in 8-10 ft. We only had 2 males the rest was all big females. They was both Black and White Crappie. We caught them on minnows. They would bite on a jig but the bite was better with minnows so just used minnows. We would drop to the bottom and then crank up 2 turns and the fish were there.
