Win Some, Lose Some
Beautiful evening last night so I decided to try some walleye fishing since I didn't get a chance to go over the weekend. Set the DVR for the basketball game and hit Smithville about 9, and started casting main lake points. Snagged an 8 foot cedar tree about 10 PM(Lose) felt like I was dragging in a dead body, glad that it wasn't (Win). At 10:45 had nice walleye hit, looked to be in the low 20 inch range (Win) reached back in the boat to grab the net which put some slack in the line, reeled up the slack got him close to the boat and he spit the crankbait(Lose) banghead. If someone yells and curses on the water and no one is around, did you really make any noise? Lesson learned, KEEP THE NET IN THE FRONT OF THE BOAT! Nice to know the walleyes are still biting though
