Has anyone ever anchored and threw out lights in some slews or coves off of rivers at night and had any luck with the crappie??? Any other suggestions for catchin them on a river at all is welcomed too! Thanks

look for an eddy (edy) anchor up in that or just ourside of it, put the light out, and hold on!!!!
Bill Dance has a tape on fishing crappie where he goes into river fishing.
He mentions just what sacalait said. Look for eddies points coming out into the river with quiet waters behind them or quiet coves along the river and fish these areas.
