I tie my jigs on with a tight knot and just adjust my jig after a fish. But I have a friend that ties a loose knot. We catch about the same but I just wondered what the majority ties.

I run the line through the eye then run it back up and twist then run it through the loop at the base and pull it through much like a neuse. Is this what you mean by a tight knot?
Yes. But my friend ties a loop and the jig can move.
I dont know mine are'nt stiff or anything on the drop they give alot of action so maybe he should try a small swivel or something if he's looking for more action.
Loop not on the jigs. Give jig freedom to hang correctly and is quicker to tie.
clinch knot when casting or trolling, so there is no play from jig to line. loop knot when I spider and vertical jigging. Gives a little more play and livelier action and allows for deeper hook penetration. But im crazy and been told i think about such thing too much.
Braid and loop, the best inventions ever for jigs!
A loop knot for jigs and hooks
Nothing but loop knots. Better movement and very easy to tie. Use 4 lb test.
I've always used clinch knot or palomar for mine.
