X2 i wanna know also since i cant find anything as well
I haven't yet made this change to the rod holder assemblies yet, but you can apply this same ratcheting knob to them as well. They are spring loaded knobs that engage the threaded stud. You pull up on them to disengage and turn. Work well. McMaster/Carr sells them and you probably can get them at other industrial supply outlets as well.

I have some knobs, but haven't changed them out yet. I talked to Scott about why he doesn't use knob bolts on the Hiteks, he said that he did in the past but the plastic internals of a knob bolt eventually strip out. Invariably this will happen at the worse possible time. A 1/2" hex bolt will always be more dependable, of course if you lose your wrench you are out of luck.
You could use these and cut the bolt to the proper length for your application.

You could also get some roll pins and drill for roll pin, install it and that would solve the stripping out issue.
another "cheap" alternative would be a bolt and wing nut, Put the wing nut on the bolt, backwards, then you can thread the bolt into the hole and use the wing-nut to tighten it down.
2nd the Mcmaster Carr they have everything I use them a lot Go to there web site.
I keep a boxed end wrench around the threads of one of my bases. Whenever I need to adjust, I know exactly where the wrench is and always put it back in the same rod base.
I've used wing nuts on driftmasters, always had to use pliars or adjustable wrench to torque it down enough. Found this to be a hassle as I had couldn't keep them in an easily accesible location. Plus I torqued them down so much that I bent my hollow tube.
Don't have that problem with Hi-Teks.
