Fun day at shelbyville!

I got to take two of my friends from school out this afternoon. We got on water about 2 and while they both had some fishing experience (more hunting) they had no long pole experience fishing brush. For a good while it was a learning period for them as to how to get unhung, and learn to tell when they were hung and not a fish. By the end of the day they were doing great and catching quite a few fish as well! We shared many, many laughs and it was great to share time together on the water. We finished at 7 with 7 short of our 3 man limit with 38. not bad for 5 hours! My buddies left with a unzipped gallon freezer bag full of fillets and were more than thrilled! Rather than doing good in the area I love, coalshaft, 37 of the 38 were actually caught down by eagle in areas I found the last couple weeks. Water was 57-58 and clear. White/Chartruese, Red/Chartruese, and chartruese sparkle all worked equally well. We had our best luck in 6-10fow and while none of the females I cleaned were even close to ready, a lot of the males had good color! We had some true pigs today with three at 14". So they are bitin and the front didn't seem to phase em! hope all had a good weekend mushroom huntin and fishin!

Nice job Tyler! I'm assuming you are fishing tubes. Are you injecting them with nibbles and fishing under a cork?

Thanks guys. Yes all on midsouth tubes, 2 inchers, no nibbles and right now everything is caught verticle jigging!

You mean to tell me out of the 3 college boys, none of you knew how to use a camcorder or upload to YouTube? What is today's youth coming to? LOL I will bet out of the 3 of you, at least 1 of you had a cell phone that would do videos.
