Dec. Tournament Results / WTCC End of Year Banquet
Well, the close of our first year as a club has come, and it has been a terrific year. Mike Tolley braved the cold, rain and wind yesterday morning and ended up with an excellent stringer of fish, to take the final tournament of 2010. Mike's big fish weighed 1 lb, 14.2 oz, and his 10 fish total was 12 lbs, 5.2 oz. Congratulations, Mike!!!
To top the year off, we will host our End of Year Banquet later this week. We will meet at 6:30 PM on Thursday evening, 12/16, at Brooksie's Barn Restaurant (561 Oil Well Rd.) in Jackson. In addition to the presentation of awards for the December Tournament, we will present the 1st annual awards for "Mr. Crappie", "Mr. Crappie Runner-up", "Slab of the Year", and "Stringer of the Year".
The Tournament Committee will also be presenting the proposed torunament schedule for the 2011 season. The committee is looking forward to feedback from the club, as a whole, so that the scheduled can be finalized.
The banquet promises to be a very enjoyable evening. I hope that each and every one of you will join the fun, and bring your families. We have had a terrific first year, and there could be no better way to wrap it up than to fellowship with one another. The banquet should also serve as a terrific start to what promises to be an even better 2011club year.
