Spring trip Help
We are planning our spring trip for 1st week in April. We usually go to Ky lake but looking to make a change this year.Would like some input from cdc members this is my wifes main trip all year and would like for her to enjoy it.I know ther are some great lakes in Ky,Tenn,S.C.,Miss.,Ala.,etc.. any help on a great place to catch good numbers of crappie with a chance for a slab that time of year would be appreciated.Warm weather wouldn't hurt. Thanks in advance for any help.

Grenada or Enid for that time of the year for the spawn.

I have to pick Guntersville for the Slab Crappies and Weiss for the numbers both lakes are outstanding and only a hr from each other.

my vote is for weiss, good numbers and some slabs too

Well I am kind of partial to Arkansas. And, the more I go to Greeson in the SW part of the state, the more I like it. I have spent two great weekends camping there in the last couple of months. Plenty to do in the area besides fish. You can dig for diamonds about 17 miles south. We took a lake tour out of Daisy State park and saw lots of history and even some eagles. Fishing is good too. I would book a trip early in my stay with Jerry Blake (actionfishingtrips.com) to learn where and how they are doing at that particular time. Then you can go in your own boat.

I have to say Grenada would be the place to be and either Bigger or Pstone could put you on fish of a lifetime.

Greeson
Come on down to Greeson in AR. The wife and I are going to be down there w/ Action Fishing (Jerry Blake) the same week. Staying at Daisy SP. Jerry is handing out guarantees too. Sorry Jerry...had to throw that in. :D
