Do any of you folks in the south use a deep V boat for crappie fishing. This is an aluminum boat. How well will it take rough water and wind? any comments appreciated.

I have a Tracker pro team 175 and it is a deep vee and rides and handles rough water well.
I had a Fisher Hawk 170WT. Great boat but not for me. I went back to fiberglass bass boat. The fisher blew too much in the wind but was very nice and dry ride.
That boat is similar to my Lund Pro Guide 1675 and no complaints here. I guess the main question would be how big of a body of water do you plan on taking it out on?
I had a fisher pro hawk 170 that I was scared to take anywhere there was more than a gentle breeze blowing. The boat was very unstable and I probably would never own another one. Just my opinion though.
I was in C1Bigocarps boat that he spoke of on a day with 2 1/2' swells. Handled it admirably, and man- did we catch fish. If you went that big, an I-pilot would be in order.
