Ever notice how fish are attacked to your marker bouy string? What if you wrapped a leaffy pattern around the first five feet or so.

????? Could you explain what you mean?
I'm lost, I don't understand
Sounds like a temporary weed bed. I've thought of trying something like this on lakes I fish that have no cover, 4 or 5 in a cluster may bring in even more fish. I like the idea of using a marker bouy. I looked into the cost of aquarium plants.... WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!! What's your thought on what could go on the line?
Great idea, your very own crappie structure, portabl crappie structure.
check out weed-ez, they make a 5 pack for about 20 bucks, dont see why you couldnt attach your bouy to one of those.
Never noticed fish(other than bluegill) interested in the string, but then again, never paid much attention to it, normally its right ontop of a fishy spot anyhow.
HB:cool:
If you take the advertising streamers they have at the car dealerships. the real flashy triangle shape multi color ones I hear attract Bream (Guess they attract people too). I hear you just throw them in like a marker bouy and after a while bream will be all over them. Has anyone done this before?
After Christmas get some cheap green garland on closeout.
