I've got a tree plum full of catawba worms. Thinking about using them on a small spinerbait trolling for crappie. Maybe add a little weight to get it down a little. What do you guys think? Maybe you have some other ideas for them?
Thanks

Not sure what that is, the same thing as a catalpa worm? Used to help my Grandad gather them, fished 'em inside out for 'gills and big perch, don't recall if we caught crappie... don't htink so. But that's Indiana, and crappie being crappie, they'll eat most anything.
Do not know about crappie but the catfish will tear them up.

Sea-sons, I have caught White Perch on Catalpa worms. When I was a little fellow that was what we mainly used to W.P. fish. We used gold fish once and a while. Minnows were not as plentiful as they are now. If you research it I think you will find Catawba is one of the correct ways to spell it.
