Being a retired welder did help a bunch, only cost $300 without the windows, and only took a couple of week-ends just before I retired...... took longer to swirl the alum pattern than it did to build it...... I love it, got a porta potty inside in case some women are around, with the smoked glass windows you can do your business inside and no one knows it.......

Could some one post how to post a picture? I've been doing a few things to my pontoon and I'd like to show her off a bit.
Here's the boat you might see tightlining up the little river on Murray. She's a 91' model Vision Bass Boat with a 75 Mariner.
If you look closely you can see our creative layout in the back of the boat with a decking board and four rod holders mounted on top of 4x4 post cut into cubes. We used a hole saw to cut a hole in the middle of the decking board that the seat pedestal fits through. The front used to be the same with two rod holders, but has been recently updated with some Wally Marshall rod holders and a depth finder with a trolling motor mounted transducer.
That right there is the best rig I've ever crappie fished on, even though I often found myself in brush and getting my lines hung up due to the man working the trolling motor. But I would have to say the decking board is a nice setup.
thats a pretty nice boat olesilverside. and you look like you would have to many rods to watch if you filled all them stands up ol rango

Hello everyone! Just bought my boat last week 2010 Benlty 200 Fish with a 90 Merc EFI 4 stroke, after I catch a 1,000,000 crappie maybe it will pay itself off! Ps. I am looking for a fishing partner for clarks hill that knows the lake a little, I am fairly new to the area and don't know my way around that well. Nice to meet all of you.
That's a nice rig you got!!! You should think about coming to the Crappiefest on the 24th. Maybe we can help you out a little about fishing the Hill, and if not you will have a good time and meet some good people, well, most of us are good people on some days!!
I have always loved SC anyway! My boat being registered in GA matter? Can I fish the SC side? I love night fishing, and I miss the stumps! In lousiana, we could be fishing in 60 feet of water with trees still sticking out, the crappie basically jumped in the boat year round, I have been very challenged here so far, as it seems alot of clarks hill is without structure. I was hoping to find some tree tops. I would definatly look to join the group on the 24th.
We will be having the Slabfest on the Ga. side of the lake but you can fish either side with the Ga. or S.C. papers :) Hartwell, Russell or the Hill. There is some trees in the lake and lots of brush ;) We would be proud to have you join us!!:)
I will definatly come. I live in Martinez, I will put in for it at work to make sure I'm off. Did I read correctly, there are going to be multiple time slots for the trip. I look forward to meeting everyone. I am really excited about learning more about the lake, as I have not been out on it many times.
Some will fish all day and others can't make it for the morning fish so they are coming at noon. We plan a nightstalk also but not sure how many will stay for a little night fishing :) We were trying to make it so everyone could come and get a chance to meet other member and fish. This event is set up to where we are not fishing against each other but trying to help others catch crappie.
I can't wait, I want to fish all of the time slots, if my wife will let me get away with it. Does anybodies family come and just hang out or does most of the wives fish?
Can't wait! I would love to get into some of them trees and bushes!
All the ones that come fish!!! We have had some of the wifes come for the meal only but that was on some of our winter nightstalks.
My wife is a good fisherman, she usually catches the biggest fish though, which usually pisses me off just a little! Glad she goes, I try harder.
This has been an ongoing project that is now ready for blood and scales.
Can run 16 rods (8 front / 8 back) and 4 down-rods out the sides for striper at the same time if tight-lining. Otherwise 8 out the back for slow trolling.
Any more than 2 fat-boys is definitely a crowd though. Guess I will have to look for a bigger boat now!
You have done a nice job getting your boat ready seareed. Looks like all you need to do now is add water :D:D:):) Welcome aboard :)
Thanks. Now all I have to do is learn how to catch crappie and striper.
Laughing!
