a "Sandie" (aka Sand Bass) is just a nickname for White Bass.
I really don't mean to steal tkopperl thread because they had the kind of days we all dream about. I said I did not know what a sandie was and received (as expected) the answer. Rieve mentioned yellow bass, so I went to Wikipedia and found the following:
A closely related fish (to the white bass), though much less common, is the Yellow bass which is found predominantly in the Mississippi River.
So, that's all I know--which is more than I knew this morning, and now my head hurts.
Looks like you guys know how to catch some crappie! WTG!!
