Pete thanks for setting up the Montana page on Crappie.com. Been on the site for a year but could not find anything for Montana.
I don't have any pic's but will be working on it.
Hank 2
Welcome Mt Hank.
Mt Hank let your Crappie Buddies know where here.
Good see Montana on the site!! I grew up there and have plenty of great fishing memories on Georgetown Lake and the Clark Fork river. I'll b watching this board cuz I'll be coming out that way hopefully in the next year.
Slab Slayer I have a jig named the Slab Slayer, let me know when you come up and maybe we can wet a line.
Thanks Whiptail...hope your slab slayer jig catches more than I do. I will for sure give a shout when I get to head that way. I have a brother that moved back out there a few months ago so I'll be coming out for a visit.
Beautiful state, hunted there when I was in college . My room mates brother was a chief on the cheyenne reservation .
I just signed up here today. Crappie fishing is completely new to me, in fact I caught my first one the other day on Blanchard, so I'm looking forward to learning about the fish and how to fish for them. Thanks Whiptail for directing me here.
I have no pics either and have yet to catch a crappie in Montana, but I'm after them. Hard water and wet, Ive fished Peck some and intend to go to TRR soon . Any waters in Mt. that hold crappie I'm interested in. I've heard some ponds have been stocked .
You guys start learning to post those pics. I will do a contest on your forum for some baits this summer. Glad to have you guys on the best fishing web sight ever.
That's great I get them rolling here soon.
Hi from Glasgow area. Hopeful crappie angler but not very experienced. Looking for anyplace to catch crappie from shore.
Looks like I'm on the West side of the Cabinets...20 North of CDA but I do motorcycle rides out 200 up the Clark Fork a lot and keep thinking I need to get a MT license and try the Flathead up towards Kalispel.
Apparently, no one has heard of Idaho...no fish here anymore ...just as well, Idaho is full anyway. We're 4 miles West of Farragut State Park so we spend time on the South end of Ponderay. If you folks wouldn't mind sharing some of your water I might try to slip over there when the water gets soft again.
