Is that a lake with a special reg regarding starting date to keep crappie? Thought it was the 2nd Sat. in May - the 9th.

I haven't fished the 7 Lakes in years. May have to after your excellent catches even thought I don't keep fish. A friend did take to O & R lakes where sunnies and crappie were turned on 3 weeks ago and shore anglers cleaned up. They were also lucky the DEC wasn't around for the same reasons.

You're right. It used to be the season for crappie was 2nd Sat. in May. Now it's open all year alongside all pan fish but still 25 max creel.
