Hey, I'm over here in Alabama and I was wondering how everyone's season is going? I enjoy a good Turkey hunt story so let's hear it.

Pretty good I've been about 5 times and seen two killed by my partner and killed one myself. Call a stub up just out of range one morning. So far only one bad morning and one bad evening. Going to hit it in the morning

I haven't been this year but my bud has some great toms strutting around in front of him west of dfw this year
I don't hunt them but, my 9 yo grandson killed 2 during youth season and my son has killed one so far.
Pouring rain Saturday morning kept me out of the woods on our (N.C.) Opening Day. I'm off work tomorrow, so as long as tonight's severe storms spare us, I'll be going in the morning.

Got one this morning. Still pretty new to Turkey hunting and am just figuring it out.
No I just gotta catch some crappie to go with it.

Spent one tag Monday 4-15-19. he weighed 21.5 pounds, had an 11 inch beard, & 1 inch spurs. Gobblers are still pretty henned up, as I haven't been hearing much at dawn the past several days. Things should really bust loose soon though.

hunting in no mo toms boomed at dawn then hit ground and nothing. usually means have hens with them but encouraging that a lot of birds out there. that was 15th thru 17th. buddy went yesterday and same thing closer to STL. going back to no mo friday with my sons crew and hopefully they will be more receptive. but crappie have been biting so there is that.
Nice birds, they haven't gobbled much down my way this year but if you can get one to answer it's a done deal. We've killed most later in the morning's. 9:00 or later. Seems like they don't want to play ball first thing in the morning. My partner has killed 2 in the evenings and missed on in the evening. Been a bad year for gobbling but we've had good luck just blind calling.

Very nice, our birds are just about over the breeding season,it’s been a good year, but we had to hit them hard in the first part of the season. We can only hunt until noon,so time is limited
Yaker we had the noon rule on our public land for along time. I my opinion it helped giving the birds a break in the evenings and I wish they would bring it back. Plus you got to have time to fish lol.
