I’ll put my $$ on HB Mega Live blowing Livescope out of the water. I have my name in the list for one.

Sux that my mega is a 2,,,,I’d likely be on board as well
If it produces pictures anywhere close to the mega images I have seen then going to be a lot of cheap Garmin units for sale.
While I hope this is true the only place I can find this image is on the Hull Truth Forum.

I’ll be the guinea pig. I was getting myself livescope for Christmas. I’ll gladly wait for this now. I have a g3 10”mega DI up front.

Quite a discussion going on at Russel Marine Products Facebook page about this. Curious how Humminbird feels about this? Can’t imagine them being happy that a vendor released this info instead of them.

Garmin had just announced a $200 rebate on Livescope. This news wasn't released without HB's knowledge. I'll get on a list to get one, betting it will be worth the wait.
I sure was glad to see the GN3 Mega+ on the list since both of my Helix 12s and Helix 10 are all that. I got word that the Mega Live will be released in early spring but wasn’t 100% sure my units would be compatible. Sure will save me some serious$$!

I am excited. I couldn't believe that HB would let livescope go on answered.

Even if Humminbird live is the best thing since sliced bread it won't be on top long. Nature of the game. My Gen 1 Mega image Helix is still putting me on fish.
I’d say Garmin is about ready to release a newer version of there livesope. Lowrance cane out with a live and you don’t here much about it. I hope Humminbird has as good as image or better. Could be some expensive times lol. All my Humminbird’s are old.

m360 already being discounted....
If it mounts to the shaft of the trolling motor, it won't work on the terrova or ulterra. You won't be able to stow the unit.
Interesting I'll keep listening and reading ya'll reports for the best decision.
I’m cautiously optimistic.
2 years late, beam must be wider, per that flier.
Easier to keep your jig and the fish in view.
MR I agree 100% that’s doing the right thing, being able to use it with your old/new units.

Interesting, I might be in on this one. "HB".
Timing is about right for me. I've been researching a new boat, and new electronics. I suspected Humminbird would have an answer to Livescope, just a matter of time. I'm still running the Legacy series units, 998 and 898 both side imaging.
How will the MegaLive work with Mega 360?
Do you need both? Will they work together?
Do I need Mega Down or Mega Side on the trolling motor?
Waiting patiently.
I'm sure HB was waiting to see if the world would consider live scope as cheating and not accept it in the fishing tourney world but since most have accepted the cheating HB is coming to put Garmin back in the woods tracking dogs.....:dono:Rofl
HB will be Simply. Clearly. Better.
Due to Covid I put off buying myself a boat. Looks like it will end around the same time Hummingbird releases this unit. My wait just became more difficult. Maybe I should just go ahead and get a Mega unit and use it own my two man mini bass boat until the units are released.
So if I buy a new g4n, and hook up mega live, can I still network an original 360 to it??

tcounty, I've got a helix 8 mega DI gen3n up front that won't be compatible. The helix DI's aren't Mega+. SI's are Mega+. You may want to check on that. I'm hoping I was told wrong.

This is defiantly exciting news the only bad thing for me is my units are Gen. 2 which isn't compatible this could get expensive quick looks like I need to start saving some money.
Me too, hope for further clarification later

I'm surprised they won't have this available till after Christmas. I guarantee the marketing people were pushing like heck to have it ready by then.
Can't wait to see it but in my mind I'm thinking the wider beam could be both a curse and a blessing. A 3-D image on a 2-D screen wouldn't that make it hard to tell just how close your jig realy is to the fish ? Scott
I’m usually not one to jump on the first release of a new product but I’m pretty excited about this one. I’ve preordered mine and looking forward to Spring

I’m wondering on that also.
Aim small miss small is what I’m currently thinking.

For the guru's out there. Think there will be any distinct advantage over using mega live with one of the newer models i.e. Gen 4 or Apex vs. my current Gen 3. Scott
I'm starting to save up now for one when I retire- in about 3 YEARS! I MAY have enough to buy one by then!! All I know is I want one bad!!! :pray
Only distinct advantage might be using a new Apex as it will have 2 plug in ports on the back of it for Ethernet connections besides showing 4 views on same screen. Release says it will work with G3N as it’s a Ethernet attachment. Also, depends on which display unit and size of screen might give you more pixels per sq. In for a better, clearer picture. At this point, with the info released, there is no way to answer as we just don’t have many details other than the release data before us.
