Wappapello
Any reports from Wappapello? I went yesterday afternoon for a few hours and managed only 8 keepers, and none were over 10 1/2. Water, of course, is super high. I tried jigging and casting into the brush and didn't get one bite. Caught all of mine trolling jigs outside the brush in 10-12 ft of water. The majority of the fish I caught were males. The females I did catch were still full of eggs. Has anyone figured out a pattern since the lake came up?

Caught twelve and two big bluegill Sat. All out of the brush about four feet deep in eight fow. Jigs w/ a minnow. Lot of brush under water, and fish seemed pretty spread out to me, one here and one there. Didn't catch many very close together. Had a thirteen, and a twelve, the rest probably would have averaged ten. Water temps ran 64-69, some fish marked at four to seven out in open water.

Went again yesterday and basically the same story. Fished 3 1/2 hours and kept 7. Caught them at depths of 6-10 ft trolling in 8 to 12 fow on jigs. All fish were between 9-11 inches and 5 were black crappie which is very odd for me at wappapello. Probably caught around 50 total.
