So I’m painting up some 1/16 pony heads (road runner) for my white bass trip tomorrow. I painted up some in yellow chartreuse, silver and blaze orange. All solid color, no two tone or anything fancy. Well I went and baked them on 350 degrees for 20 minutes. My Blaze Orange :cool:turned more of a reddish pumpkin orange!! They were definitely Blaze Orange prior to baking.
Soo what happened? Any ideas? Never had this happen before.

They will turn orange again after a while. You can use a white base coat to prevent it.Quote:

Some colors will turn darker when the lead is warm from bakin but will return to the original brightness when completely cool. As stated above, a white basecoat should help.
Yeah, no I get the whole hot lead the color will look different. This is after they have cooled. Minnow head isn’t baked while the pony is. And it’s the same paint. I mean I highly doubt the sand bass will care. lol.
