I'm wanting to change my 1978 manual start Mercury 20 HP over to electric starter was wondering if anyone with a similar Mercury 20 HP electric start could send pictures of how starter is mounted on engine most pictures I've found don't show much. To much arthritis in shoulders to pull start anymore.
This kit should have everything you need to convert it to electric start and charge the battery. The block should already have the holes to mount the starter and its lower support bracket. (make sure you run a tap through them to ensure you have clean threads for the new bolts)

Agree :yikes but……
Even at that price it bets yanking a pull rope if one’s shoulders are arthritic. Hope you can get one and get it converted over.
I did a 9.9 quite a while back and it was easy. Those starters on those small motors don't draw a lot of current so if you have a way of charging the battery once in a while you don't need the charge coil and the rectifier. It worked for me.

I'm planning on going just can't seem to find right starter for the 1978 200/20 HP motor. find for newer motors not much luck with this one 50-76275

I know a guy that works on small outboard engines that He starts them with a cordless Milwaukee 1/2" impact on the main nut over the flywheel.
thanks for the help, been down with shoulder surgery. Got motor running today. Found starter, coil and key switch on Amazon (starter model 50-97949), had to do a little grinding on cowl to make fit, installed coil, key switch wired in. Started and runs great no more killing my shoulder pull starting.
