Kayak Trip Report, Softball Field Pond

I fished the pond off Old 431 (Hampton Cove) Friday afternoon. The road is still closed for bridge replacement, so I had to park at Cove Park and take my kayak down on a cart. I caught about 30 Crappie, half were short (3-4 inches) with the other half slabs (13 - 14 inches). None of the 9 to 10 inch fish I like. Fun afternoon though. Spider rigged 4 poles with 1/16 oz White Marabou 3 feet deep. I had a couple large Bass mixed in and one huge Channel Cat. All fish returned.
