Long story.
I was going to plug up a 12v aerator in outlet tonight to keep minners alive on the boat before the high school game. I was in a hurry. Wouldn’t plug in.
After looking my plug on aerator had the end come unscrewed and the plastic cap and metal end was stuck in outlet.
I grabbed needle nose fishing pliers to remove and of course “just like the game of operation”, shorted out and lit up. Blown fuse. Removed the cover by throttle to find 15 or so fuses.
Unknowingly which one, pulled and checked until I found the blown one. Didn’t have the right size on hand so stuck a 15a in there. Upon putting cover back on and to my surprise, the back cover has listing as well as a little pack of fuses Velcro to the back. Naturally i put the right fuse in and all good.
What I learned? Slow down and smell the roses. Sometimes the job at hand can be really simple and if not played right, can cause yourself more problems/work.
