Favorite Crappie Jig?
I have used a 2" Mister Twister in a pearl white or Chartreuse for many years because I have confidence in these lures and I catch a few fish (not many). I need to quit being so stubborn and try something new. I usually Crappie fish by tossing the jigs at visible cover and slowly retrieving. Can you guys recommend alternatives? I know there are millions of choices out there but please tell me what works for you. I am starting to use my electronics and straight jig fish submerged structure and i'm not sure a twister tail is the proper presentation. I read in an earlier post about Berkley 2" minnows.
thanks for ya'll time

Bobby Garland baby shad. If for no other reason you can buy them everywhere.

Slabanator Jigs make up the biggest majority of the plastics in my tackle. Hot Rods, Mini Rods, and Booty Thumpers are the main ones, with the Shad taking up the rear. Beyond that I'm partial to Charlie Brewer Slider Crappie/Panfish grubs.
If I'm casting them to cover, they're on a 1/16oz weedless ballhead jig (unpainted) .... if I'm Pushing them in open water, they're on a regular jighead (non-weedless) trailing a 1oz trolling weight.

I got to where I use some of the custom hand ties these guys on here make. They are high quality and last a very long time. Really prefer natural colors.
