Government getaway
I went to Charlie's cabin Sunday for a needed break. We fished, rode SXS and just hung out in the swamp.

I figured the open air at 25 MPH conteracted the lack of 6 ft spacing. Felt good to breathe fresh swamp air.

Charlie let's folks use his pond and a grandfather had his grandkids out for a great outing. They like the spillway due to fast action over size.

This was in an oxbow lake in the swamp. My main event was a battle with a Bowfin that finally broke off at the boat.

Charlie cooking one of several fish frys. Just us 2 but it was fun.Attachment 373800
Charlie's 94 year old dad still lives in the farm house and comes by to check on us each day.
We had a great time and I'm thoroughly exhausted.

Ray it is great that you have this place to go and recharge. Everyone needs a place like this. Enjoyed reading about your outing and the pics.

Had a new adventure. Charlie had to take a hunt club member prospect on a tour of the property which adjoins this cabin property. He was gone 2 hours so I went snooping in his barn and found his 3 wheel Honda that runs ways faster than I'll ever go.
He had taken the milder SXS with him. Mind you l have ridden this machine once holding on for dear life and refusing to get back on with him driving.
It took me 20 minutes to get it running and backed out of the barn.
Now you strattle that thing feeling the power rumbling through the pipes and you got to try it right?
It is not the kind gentle creature of his SXS cousin.
I managed to scare the crap out of myself twice, the 2nd time in a patch of sand. It gets really squirrelly in sand.
After 30 minutes I put it back in the barn still in one piece.
I've never ridden these so it was a blast and got the adrenaline going.

You got to do what a man's got to do! Relax and enjoy the friendship, nature and no better place than the swamp to do it. Ray, I enjoyed this story and really appreciate you passing it on to us. You got some good times to tell us about, so you better get busy writing all this stuff in a book. :highfive
