I totally understand now

I have been reading all the post about JDM fishing equipment. So I decided to purchase a Ballistic 1000.
It came in yesterday, I removed it from the box and put handle on it. Spun the reel and look at my wife and said - WOW. Ran outside and spooled some 2# SOS on it. Put it on a Daiwa u/l rod I had, tie a 1/64 jig head and made a few cast in the yard. All I can say is - I understand now.

This is going to cost some major money :biggrin

As I read years back on a post over at Tackle Tour talking about JDM gear..."They don't understand it until they use it".

I considered one a little while back but didn’t pull the trigger. I have two older Daiwa Capricorn’s that are ultra smooth. Hard to imagine me needing better than that, but I’ll probably try one one of these days.
