A fishy situation!
Have you ever woke in the night and couldn't go back to sleep and all you could think about was going fishing? Well that happened to me at about 3AM this morning. After tossing and turning till around six I just gave up and hooked my rig up. Knowing it was going to get extremely hot, I figured I can at least get a few hours in before it got unbearable. While I was at it I thought eh let's just go ahead and make a run to watts bar for kicks and giggles.
Got on the water around eightish and first cast of the day Wham! I'm wide awake now! It looked like the fish were going to cooperate. They did for the most part but as the sun got higher the bite slowed to a stop. Of course it also could have been I was no longer on fish but eh we will blame it on the sun.
I called it quits at noon but I was delighted to have caught two tarp crappie. One was 14 inches and the other came in at 15 inches. A couple other fish came in at 13.75 inches for a total catch of twelve fish. It was starting to get very uncomfortable by this time so I headed on in looking for some iced tea and thinking on some cooler fishing weather coming in October.
