I'm planning on fishing Talquin next month. I know nothing about it. I'm planning on doing both pushing and long lining jigs.
This is another thing I know nothing about. I may also try for a few catfish.
Thanks for any info.

I mean lake Talquin.
I'm thinking about hitting Talquin this weekend to pull jigs. I hope the cold front will have them along the river channel. I imagine by next month they should be stacked in the channel. Of course I'm no expert. Lots of folks with more experience catching fish than me.

Brimfisher, let me know how you do.
I'm no expert, but I have fished it before. All I can say is use litewire hooks cause it's stump city, and fish where the boats are, cause the locals know where to catch them. Good luck. Hope some others chime in cause I'm sure they'll be able to provide additional help.
Thanks for the reply's. I'm going to give it a go.
This is my second day at Talquin and I would advise fishing were the boats are too, also longlining seems to be the preferred method, I feel like I brought a knife to a gun fight, spider rigging with 4 poles but managed a few 2lb'rs

Longline is the way to go. Just look for the boats. They will probably be deep so don’t be afraid to put on additional lead. They should be in the channel. I plan on being there week of crappiemasters. Been sending plenty of litewirehooks to Florida so I know they are catching fish. Good luck
