good video...gonna take a pound of cornmeal just to bread em. Make you a gaf with just a like a 12/0 hook on a handle. I have done that and it works. Just don't stick it in you, done that before too. It's easier to stick em then a full size gaf. A snagging treble of 10/0 or so works real good but got be real careful with it .
Nice,I sure wish my state would allow jug fishing, looks like a blast!
It is a blast. It basically a trotline, except the hooks are free floating. I usually run 30 jugs. With 15 jugs I'd hardly catch anything.
Good video. Congrats on a very nice catch of piggies.

My question is --- how long is the lines below the float/ Jugs ????
@Fish on Line, it's nine feet of line or so. I tie the snap swivel on, measure 1.5 fathoms of line, then tie on my hook. That's nine feet. Also the jugs are free floating. They're not anchored to the bottom or anything. I generally place them along the shelf where the new river channel drops of into the old river channel. Put out about thirty jugs, and you'll find them. No sonar needed.
No need for split shots or any kind of weight. I use a very heavy saltwater circle hook heavy enough to get the line down.
