Anyone fishing around Cherokee or Bryson City in NC?

If so how's the fishing been?

Well we went up to Cherokee and Bryson City. No fish was caught my me , but the Cherokee Indian Reservation was holding their kids trout Derby and I see some monster rainbows brought in.
I would say 2000 kids was fishing and I think every one of them caught fish.
Now it's time to start Crappie fishing again as I have missed the whole spring and summer.
Hope to get back at it soon .

I fished there about 15 years ago so did not reply. It is a interesting place. Glad the kids had a good time. We need to promote as much out door activities to todays youth as possible IMO. Tony

Yes I agree, we need to get these kids out and away from these devices 24/7. Teach them to fish and hunt the proper way. Not just turn them out with a gun to shoot at any movement, teach them.
Show them. Love them.
They will grow and remember those days and teach their kids. Keeping the outdoor life alive.
