hey guys, what is in your opinion the best angle rod holder to use when spider rigging? I was looking at 5 degree or 0 degree. I like having the rods as straight and low as possible.

I like mine angled down towards the water with all the rod tips about a foot off of the water
that is what I prefer also, I have always used homemade rod holders and I am looking to buy some. I am looking at the 5 degree driftmasters and the 0 degree hills rod holders. I like the hills because they are cheaper, but I am worried that at 0 degrees my poles will droop into the water. I may try the hills and if they dont work I might be able to bend them to what ever angle I need.
Best thing is spend the money for a set of SpiderLoocks. Infinite adjustability. If you can't afford that look at some of the videos on YouTube on how to build adjustable PVC holders. No one position holder is always going to be right.
I will have to check these out, I have been using the PVC and they do work, but I am looking for an upgrade. thanks for the suggestion!

Just to be the "devil's advocate" in this .... I wouldn't count out Hi-Tek rod holders Devil Icon
I've used rod holders similar in design to the Spyderlocks, and didn't care for the prongs sticking up because they poked my wrists or hung in my sleeve at times. I don't have that problem with the Hi-Teks. I even eliminated the need for adjustment tools, by purchasing some large hard rubber knobs to replace the adjustment bolts in the top of the T bar & all of the rod holders. Once I tighten down the setup into the floor mount with a socket wrench, all other adjustments can easily be done by hand.
I purchased my two sets of 4rod Hi-Tek holders from a member, on the Personal Classifieds forum. Then purchased two extra sets of floor mounts from Scott, off his website : Home The knobs were purchased from McMaster-Carr ( McMaster-Carr )
Keep your eye on the Personal Classifieds, and you may catch a good deal from a member (like I did) ... whether they're Titelocks, Spyderlocks, Cumberland 360's, Hi-Teks, Bee Ready's, or whatever. :twocents
