Melvern-fri.,sat. & sun.
Well we were at Melvern over the weekend,it was windy and busy with boats. And it was really windy.Oh yea it was windy. And did I mention it was windy? Now for the real report.Fish the south side brush piles and points.Caught fish 12-18 ft.deep in brush. The keepers came 1/2 crank off the bottom and in the brush. The dinks came off the upper part of the piles.Jig with a minner was best, but did catch some without the minner. Most came from Arrow Rock point area, but did catch some here and there along the S. bank.Spent a small fortune in gas trying to get out of the wind a little. That was a big NOGO!!banghead Littlefish could only handle the wind a few hours at a time, but she did catch a few and had fun.It was a wet boat ride every time.I will post pics a little later on.Good :fish to yen's.
Oh some of the females still had good eggs in them.Water temp was 74-75

Welcome littlefish on your first post. Keep dad in line. We know who really needed a break from the wind. Nice fish.

Congrats to you Littlefish387 AND to your Dad!! To you for going with your Dad not to mention catching nice fish like you have in your hand and to your Dad for being a great mentor. It warms my heart to see Dad and daughters/sons/wife enjoy our great sport together. It beats the heck out of video games!
And Littlefish.....I can tell you from first hand experience, my daughter and sisters all have an excellent touch for crappie and all species for that matter. My daughter may have the best feel for the ultra-light and almost imperceptable prepared-bait catfish "bite" over all the boys and men I've taken with me. So you have a great future in front of you.
God Bless
