Got another late start and decided to fish close to home again today, getting to be a habit, but, I'll break it very soon. I counted 33 that I touched, most small, but, prolly about 10 that were 9 to 12 inches. Water temp was 72 at 10:00 and 78.6 when I quit at 4:30. They weren't in usual hang outs, took a while to locate them consistently, maybe tomorrows full moon had them roaming more than normal? I wasted almost 2 hours by going to the dam and back, found them on wood in 3 to 4 FOW only 1/2 way down the lake. Had a real big LMB attack a 6 inch crappie, almost netted it before it spit out the crappie which was scaled on one side by then. I have no clue what the lake record LMB is, but, I think this one would have been the new lake record. Didn't know it had eaten the crappie until it spit it out or would have been quicker with the net! 2 inch Southern Pro Curly Tail Acid Rain and JDG on 1/32 oz. jig.
