Ok anybody in the area that might be interested in gettign together and throwing some money in a pot? I caught a few small ons on the Satilla river looking for more right now
The only club I know if is right here on C.C...Other than the rivers and farm ponds we are kinda limited but there are some great places in this area.
Ft. Stewart has some good spots but you have to deal with them closing ponds without notice. I can't count the number of times I have wanted to fish a pond only to find out the area was closed due to training. Call before you make the trip. Online reports are not always up-to-date.
When the rivers are down they produce nicely too but this time of year they usually are too high to fish for anything but carp and catfish. You also have to deal with hunting clubs to get to the slew lakes that hold the best fishing.
Several folks fish up around Savannah and would be able to help in that area.
Have you checked the Fla board for clubs in the North Fla area?
BTW: Welcome to the board and thank you for your service.
i havent been on this board in a while. but i mainly fish ft stewart and hunter. also thier are a couple of ponds here in savannah that have crappie in them. i also know that their are crappie in the savannah river but my boat isnt working right now.as for clubs i havent heard of any.
