Well we didn't wear them out but did manage to catch 4 and gave then to a local man that was fishing the pilings under 280 bridge. It was hot and muggy. Rain went north of us twice and south of us once. I found a small school on a ledge at the point of the south side of cedar and the main channel. I could only get 2 of them to bite. I left that spot and started trolling north from cedar with no luck so I figured I would try shooting docks for the first time. First try caught a fish and never had another bite, beginners luck I guess. We left from there and went to the 280 bridge and tried dropping jigs by the pilings with no luck so I switched to minnows and caught one. After lunch the jet skis and ski boats came out. I talked to a local man that was fishing the pilings for about 15 minutes and I ended up giving him my 4 fish to add with his few. Here is a picture of my first fish on Blackshear. I will definitely be back in the fall and spring.
I'm headed to Eufaula Sunday after lunch for several days. I'll try to post some reports from there.
