Oconee Help?
Had to sell my other boat, but I will be picking up my new boat this Friday. I’m getting A 2018 Lowe Stinger 175. Was thinking of taking my boys to Oconee this weekend. Can anyone give me any pointers on where to start looking? We will be long line trolling, just not sure which area to start.

Put in at Lick creek (Fish Tails marina) go right under the 44 bridge, go down past the point on your right...deploy and start trolling.
Nice deep creek channel right there all the way out to the main lake.
Or go to Armor bridge ramp in Reynolds Plantation, go around the point on the right to you get to big sandy creek (its on the left side of the lake, big island in front can't miss it), there is an island start trolling in mouth close to island, alot of trees and stumps on bottom in deep water. BE CAREFUL when running near the island there is ALOT of submerged timber just under the surface off the lakeside of that island. Also Rocky creek and Double Branch should be producing right now, both on the left side of the Richland creek arm (which is where you will be fishing Big Sandy)
Hope ya'll catch a bunch

Thanks for helping Dutch. Good sportsmanship never goes out of style.

We have been fishing mouth of Lick Creek with good results. Stay in 20-25' water, fish around 15'. Go get 'em!

Best advice I can give is if you see a creme colored Express go the other way because I haven't been catching squat!
