John’s lake
I will be heading there middle of next week. What should I expect for the western most part closest to Clermont? Crappie or Bass? Any and all info will be appreciated. I’m not familiar with the area at all. I would also like to add that the real reason I will be in the area is visiting my cousin Jerry Wayne Giles. He’s been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and my family and I would greatly appreciate any and all the prayers he can receive. Thank you!

Hayman, a friend's wife was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. We all attended Aurantia Baptist Church in Mims, Florida 32754. The Pastor had the entire congregation come together on a Sunday morning and Layed hands on this wonderful woman. A healing happened and she is cancer free. God is Great!!!!

I will place Jerry Wayne Giles and his family on our prayer list.
Johns Lake is a great fishery. The far West pool has numerous docks to shoot for both bass and crappie. The NW part has a nice bass bedding flat. Years back, this time of year the whole North side of the pool produced some nice bass. There has been considerable residential construction in recent years on different shorelines of the lake, but the numbers should still be good in the West pool. The canal leaving the pool to the East also holds good bass as well. Wishing you the best with your catches and your visit.

My prayers will also join in for Jerry Wayne Giles. A survivor myself it has a different meaning to me to offer help to others afflicted as I was. I’m now cancer free also. Hope y’all enjoy your stay and find a few fish to remember the trip by.
