A really good guy and a great fisherman has left our planet . He was really good at catching multiple species of fish . I know factually he caught several potential lake record black crappie on his home lake and never said a word to anyone but myself and few select friends .He also pursued bass frequently in some of the bass tournaments in North Texas .
I used to fish with him about once a quarter or so up on some private docks he managed on the north end of Eagle Mountain lake for crappie .
He had been having several health issues in the last year and visiting the doctor frequently, they adjusted his blood pressure medicine over and over trying to get it right .
I tried to call him for several days this week and when the phone never rang I grew concerned , it always rings even if he don't answer or call back .
Called a mutual friend and asked why on earth is his phone turned off and he said sorry bud , he passed away 2 days ago from Covid complications .
Somehow in his travels he managed to get Covid ,the family is going to miss him along with his friends more than words can express and of course myself included as we sure did laugh it up when we hung around together .
In the end this is just a bit of a memorial for a great guy and to be sure we all have a due date and need to keep that in mind .
