I've been coming to Greers in the spring for the past 5 years. Relative has a place mid lake. We spider rig and do fairly well. I want to start coming in the fall, and want to fish the same way. What I would like to know is the time I should be coming. I know going to Grenada in the fall the first part of Oct is good. How long does that bite last?

Sept 1 -Dec,Usually Get our 1St Rains around the 15 of sept.Until some rain water at mid lake real clear.Thremocline will be around 20'.Some time during sept they start pulling water to get lake to winter pool stage.My o Two pennies.

It could't rain much more than it did in March. I talked to Wayne Stewart this spring and he told me he pulls cranks till mid Sept, then goes back to long lineing. Just didn't know when the peak fall bite was. I'm pretty sure the crappie fisherman continue to fish the upper portion of the lake in the fall. Thanks for your input
