Me & Bubba lit out about 4:30am for the long drive and Bubba took advantage of it and got in a good nap. We were launching the boat about daybreak and anxious to get the jigs in the water. It was slightly overcast and light winds were predicted, perfect conditions for the area of the lake we were fishing. It didn't take long to figure out what they wanted and before long we had grass shrimp jigs tied on most of the rods. We even pulled some double shrimp rigs to target the deeper fish. We ran into Gabowman at the ramp and got to see him in action too! Always good to see old friends out on the water...Attachment 427577Attachment 427638Attachment 427639Attachment 427640Attachment 427581Attachment 427580Attachment 427579Attachment 427578Attachment 427587About mid morning Bubba decided he needed another nap and laid down in the back of the boat, the fish continued feeding and I had to watch all 10 rods now. We trolled until about 11am and knowing we had plenty of fish to clean and a long drive ahead of us, decided to pack it up. On the way home we stopped by the "Ain't It Guud Cafe" and had some chicken fingers and hot dogs. Bubba finally got full and we hit the road again. It was a great morning on the water and I'm thankful to be able to make these memories with my grandson.
