Think I’m done till fall
Been a terrible spring for me. Think I had one decent trip. Went back to 8 mile creek yesterday. For the last few years when I was able to put in the work to fish there I’ve always been able to catch fish. Yesterday one crappie not even 6 inches. Did find a few good gills on bed and a couple big shell cracker. But I’ve decided I’m gonna spend more time with my wife, play music more and maybe do some catfishing until fall. That’s my favorite time to fish anyway. Guess we will see how long this lasts, because I am hard headed. Lol

Don’t give up, I follow your reports

Damion Kidd, I'm busy next weekend, but we'll get together in a couple weeks and get a few! By then you'll be itching to fish!

I enjoy my time on the water even if I don’t catch any. Gives me time to breathe and relax. I do try for at least one though. lol. I do think you shouldn’t stop unless it’s just not enjoyable anymore.

I’m not really giving up. Mainly other things I really need to be doing. I definitely enjoy it. But when I know I’m probably not gonna do any good especially in hot ,summer conditions I can get other things done. Things I’ve been putting off that will really make the wife happy and agree to more fishing time this fall. Lol

Do what makes you happy. Only get one go around at it anyway

And this is why I started year before last fishing like a kid! Much more enjoyable and no worries about catching a target species.

You aren't the only one who had a bad spring, seems like this year I had nothing but problems but I am still gonna fish and maybe try some new techniques to learn different ways to catch a mess
