Screenshot from today
Here is a screenshot that I took today at my local lake with my Humminbird Helix Mega G2N unit. Yes the crappie were stacked on this bridge piling and they were biting. I really like all the other detail of the stuff around the bridge. Water temp here dropped 10 degrees in the last week.Attachment 360097

Looks like they were definitely keyed in on the vertical structure of the bridge pillars, as there doesn't seem to be any cover in or around the base of them.
I'm curious though, Roy, as to the pillars image on the left side of the screen ... is that a faint image of the pillars on the right side of the screen or a separate set of pillars farther away from the boat than the ones on the right ?? Reason I ask is that the faint images of fish on the pillars on the left side of the screen do not all look to be in the same position as those on the right ... it looks as though there are some in the same position, but a greater number look to be near the bottom of the pillars. :dono
And if it is a "ghost" image of the pillars on the right side of the screen ... how does that happen ??

Wow ! You got that bird dialed in hope to get mine like that one these days ! Tremendous clarity!

I think on the right is the base and the shadow of the pillar in the water column.
I believe the image on the left is a second set of pillars are there are multiple ones for this bridge.
Water depth here is in the mid 30's. I guess with the new Mega+ units the bridge piling may not fade out in the deeper depths.
Usually I just scan these bridges only using one side of of my side image. Guess I need to figure out some of what is showing up.
Wish that I would have taken a down I age as well as it looked pretty good as well.
