Caught 7 species Sunday. Finally caught a fish off a raft. It was on the 20 watt special....thanks Jimmy Watt. Terrova was awesome. Trailer axle good. Still needing to replace a leaf spring hanger. Bream and sacalait live in the same structure but seems to me bream prefer trees and sacalait prefer branches. Learned to take what the water gives you. Zack was with me... great day.....but hot...I stopped bringing my coffee on the boat in the heat and I feel much better the next day...it forces me to drink more water while on the water...

Nice catch, do you eat the drum? If so how do you cook them? I grew up in south ms and we never ate them, everyone always said they were trash fish. But to me they look almost identical to a red drum

Just like a red fish....we have cooked em a lot of ways....started keeping them a couple years ago when catching was lean....fried up chunks...grilled....baked with lemon and onions....it’s texture is firm but the taste is fish...fresh fish...we always keep the fish on ice immediately and once fileted the filets are put on ice...then vacuum packed and in the freezer.....fish is fish...different textures to each one.....

Thanks for answering that, I'll have to keep one and try it out

They eat same stuff as crappie or bass. I just don’t keep them. May give it a try.
