anyone have any good tips on fishing in the wind
let the wind blow you into a fall down & fish the other side of it. or try inside a cove....
A. Stay home.
B. Tie off on somthing.
C. Use anchors that dig in well.
D. Sink brush on differen't banks so you are out of the wind when it blows from all directions.
If the wind has been blowing from the south for a few days it is not a bad idea to fish in the back of a north cove where the wind has been pushing bait into.
If at all possible I take option A if the wind is blowing over 25 mph!
Minn Kota auto pilot trolling motor so I have been told. I don't know. I got a new one but haven't tried it out yet. Be a while before I find out . I got too much to do besides fish.

Around here there are places to somewhat get out of the wind. For instance on a point, position your boat just out of the wind, casting into the water that is in the windy area. Wind is a pain in the arse to fish in, but the fish love it, especially windy points.
If the wind is not too bad, take advantage of it as far as slow trolling into it.
Drift with the wind for those whiskered crappies. :D
