Wow, removing talon was way harder than it shoulda been.
I loosened the bolts on the mounting bracket. That bracket is supposed to slide up and down in a track. That bracket would not budge. I literally had to put a floor jack underneath it with a 2x4 and put the whole weight of the boat on it. While hitting the bolts with a hammer, the bracket would finally slide. I can't believe how tight it was.

Here are the brackets that run inside the track, you can see that they are cracked and splitting.

I have new brackets and they look the be slightly smaller. I think they changed their design. I think the aluminum swelled and froze them in place. I know aluminum swell, but I think there's a degree of corrosion that occurs, especially if the boat's been in salt water.
Anyone else come across something like this? Just thought I'd share.
