I have a room as well. I replaced the carpet with the rolled plastic. Can't remember the name but if you Google trailer skid coverings you'll find it

Get some of those plastic/PVC square fence post. Split them in half and lay them end to end. Never unhook until in the water.
Good idea guys [emoji106]

I had pvc glide slides from Cabelas. I kept my boat hooked til it is in launch position. You can get pvc runners, but they be proud of them cause they be expensive.
I have used these in the past and they work well. As Cray & Cane Pole said though don't unhook the boat until you are about ready to launch. On a steep ramp the boat can come off before you get near the water! Amazon.com : E-Z Slide Trailer Pads - Kit 3 Black : Boat Trailer Guides And Rollers : Sports & Outdoors
Check out http://gatorbak.com/ and see what you think as this is what I'm thinking about doing when and if I have an issue on my 2013 pt 175tf.
If your boards 2x4 s get some 4in pvc guttering cut in half that is what my buddy did so far so good.
A lot of good ideals thanks
