What is the difference in the chirp on a Humminbird Helix 12 chirp SI and the new Humminbird 12 Mega SI and is the quality of the picture worth the money to go Mega ?
I have the 12 chirp, bought it for a really good price when the Mega was introduced. Unless it was huge difference in price I would go with the Mega though, they have more detail. Bought my Chirp for under 1500.
I retract that, found some for 1399, thats the way I would go for a grand difference.

Thanks for the info. I think I am going to skip the 12 Mega and buy the 12 chirp for 1349.00 I don't fish that often and can't justify the added expense. I just need to update since
all of my Humminbirds are 800-900 series and I also have a Simrad touch that I personally don't like due to finger prints.
