Has not arrived locally. We launched at just after 7:00 this morning into 68 degree water. The morning was chilly enough for a light jacket. Today, we had the pleasure of having our oldest daughter on board! As a school teacher, she is on summer break. Even more importantly, she is carrying our first grandchild, due in January! Anyway, the fishing involved our typical single pole approach. Brushpiles, blow downs, and docks, all on the main channel. I look for brush, bait, and hopefully fish, in 15’ - 30’. Weedless jigheads make this approach much less frustrating. Our fish today were caught on a variety of styles and colors of jig bodies. None emerged as a true winner, as it took a run n gun or hunt and peck approach. Slab Sauce as well as Crappie Nibbles provided a bit more enticement to our offerings. As the morning wore on, the sun got fierce, so we pulled the plug at 10:00. My mechanic had worked on a motor issue, and a lake test proved successful. I called him with the results and asked about paying him. He said to just wait and make sure the problem is resolved. That’s one of many reasons that I use this guy! We invited nine fish home for dinner! Attachment 306188Attachment 306189Attachment 306190
